My wife and I are friends with a French couple. He’s from Normandy and She’s from Brittany. We’ve traveled thru France with them, and they’ve stayed in our home and traveled to explore different parts of the U.S. They know that I love Triple Cream Cheeses and so a few years ago, they brought me a gift of one of the many types of cheese cases sold throughout France.

When we got back home, I tried using it and found it to be straight forward and functional. I put their gift away with the kitchen tools and every so often I would come across it and consider using it. Then one time I looked at it and I saw a different way it could work better. By adding a rectangular chamber this would create more space and versatility. It could then hold sliced cheeses and sandwich meats. By adding a little extra height, it could hold a sandwich. The round chamber could hold a mini wheel of soft cheese, or grapes, cherries, celery or carrots. Now someone could use it to bring their lunch, picnic goodie’s, crackers or a mobile charcuterie.
